In November 2000, a month after receiving Jesus Christ, I had my first dream of Him. I dreamt I was in a room which had many mirrors. In one mirror, Jesus appeared to me and told me, "I will always be with you". The room was filled with the Lord’s presence.

I held on to that dream for a very long time because of those reassuring words that Jesus will always be with me, and also because of the strong presence of God I experienced. However, as time went by, I forgot about the dream.

Now, here is something amazing: As we worshipped the Lord during the anniversary service on 8th September, I experienced the presence of God just as I did in the dream I had nineteen years ago. That is when I recalled the dream. I even began crying. When I opened my eyes, I saw the mirrors which were part of the decoration. I had not noticed those mirrors when I entered church. In fact, I had never seen mirrors in a church. This was like a dream being replayed.

More so, as I listened to Pastor’s sermon, I was awestruck to realize that the call to build God a great, famous and magnificent house came to him in November 2000, the month and year I had had the dream of a glory-filled room with many mirrors. This was too much for me!

Asha B. Jumba.

What more can I add to Asha’s testimony! Surely the Lord Jesus was in His house at our anniversary service as we honored Him in praise and worship for how far He has brought us. Asha’s experience – a fulfillment of a ‘nineteen year old’ dream – is also undeniable proof that we have this far accomplished our mission of building the Lord a house in which He can dwell with us His people. This is so good to know.

Now I understand better why God did not want any one of us to miss the anniversary service even when we postponed it for Mark and Rachel’s sake who were travelling to Israel for a holiday. God was going to inhabit His house on 8th September, and He did not want us to miss the momentous occasion.

I thank God for the worship team who for several weeks worked tirelessly so that they could make God feel welcome in His house. Special gratitude goes out to Praise, Bruce, and Andrew, who were always there every Thursday, building up to 8th September. Praise even cancelled a major ceremony she was supposed to be at on the 8th. Juliana too; she rescheduled her flight out of the country to a later hour just because of her Friend – the Lord Jesus. By the way, it was great to see Barbara Atukunda. Two weeks before 8th, I dreamt she was in the service. We especially honor her for the blessing she was in the worship team when she was still able to.

I thank God for Rachel our administrator who decided to of all things use mirrors for decoration. Little did she know that she was just a pawn in the hands of the Master who needed to fulfill Asha’s dream, and thereby prove to whoever needs to know, that on 8th September, He was in His house at LAT.

I thank all of you for preparing for that day. As you can now attest, our extended praise and worship sessions prior to 8th September were not in vain. I also thank you for giving towards the celebration. Your money bought the mirrors. It also assisted in beautifully dressing the worship team and buying them a decent lunch after they had blessed the Lord and the congregation.

I pray we shall remain committed to building the glorious house of the LORD (1 Chronicles 22:5). We must build it according to His specifications, and by ensuring that the foundation of Jesus Christ that we have laid (1 Corinthians 3:11) is never tampered with.

In all that we do, let us seek to please Him that we are building for – our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When we do that, we shall become the church God wants us to be in this nation within the period Asha dreamt in yet another dream in 2018.

God bless you.
