Our third anniversary celebration was glorious. Surely God's presence was in our midst even as the guest of honor, Dr. James Magara, remarked.

We thank God for our administrator Rachel who worked so hard to give the venue a beautiful look. But it was not only the place that looked beautiful, so did our great worship team. Dressed in white and singing so wonderfully, they could have been mistaken for heavenly angels. I think the smartest people in the worship team were Albert and Pastor Moses, though the latter defaulted on the white bit.

When it came to the sermon, most of you will agree that it was straight from the Father. You could tell that Dr. Magara's words were coming from one with authority in the spirit, coupled with great maturity which comes with many years of closely walking with God. God surely sent us a man worthy to be imitated.

If you noticed, the message for the day (Stages of Growth: deliverance, discipleship, deployment and dominion) was a summary of what we talked about the

previous three Sundays. The first Sunday we talked about the importance of obedience and how disobedience equates to witchcraft. The next Sunday sermon dealt with the different levels of growth in God which include conversion (deliverance), discipleship, servanthood (deployment), friendship and lastly sonship (dominion). However, we did not really touch the stage of sonship because we needed to first emphasize the second, third and fourth levels which many Christians do not take seriously or presume to have attained. On the third Sunday, we learnt how to see God's word fulfilled in our lives. Dr. Magara touched on that too.

It is obvious therefore that in this season, God is saying, "LAT, come up higher from where you are. Do not stagnate in your spiritual development, I need you to grow in Me." For God to emphasize that in such an amazing way means that the grace for growth is upon us; growth in all things as a local church. We must therefore heed this message of the hour. Dr. Magara's teaching is a word in due season.

As we look forward to growth and increase in all things, let us especially work with God to attain the growth that matters most to Him - spiritual growth. When one gets born again, s/he must grow into a disciple of Christ, esteeming Jesus above all people and things (Luke 14:26). Only after that can one become a real servant (slave) of Christ. Upon graduation from the University of Slavery where obedience is paramount, one becomes a friend of Jesus (John 15:14-15), after which he becomes a fully grown son who can be trusted with great power and authority (Galatians 4:1-2). Hallelujah.

I pray that this third anniversary is also your birthday into a higher level of spiritual development. And may it also be remembered as the day you began to experience increase in all Godly things. Just as Bob and Ann Belinda Asiimwe on the LAT anniversary began a new year in their marriage, may you and I see newness in our lives in this season.

God bless you.
