A few days ago, on Saturday 25th November 2017, I had a dream in which the hall we use on Sunday was being renovated during the service. The following day, Dennis Mugimba had a dream in which he and Sam Isoke went to St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) to see the renovation of the school, which renovation majorly involved repainting. The buildings looked old but not dilapidated. Actually, in the dream Dennis wondered ‘how a school in such condition was producing top-grade students’.

My dream means that LAT is being renewed. Dennis’ dream also points to the renewal of LAT. You see, SMACK can be referred to as my school because I went there for my high school education. That Dennis and Sam went to see the renovation of my school, is symbolic of the renovation of ‘my’ church, LAT.

This leads to the question: Is LAT in such dire need, that it requires a facelift? My answer is an emphatic No. Based on the dreams we have received from God recently, we are doing very well as a church.

Once upon a time, Jesus told the disciples that “new (neos) wine must be put into new (kainos) wineskins” (Luke 5:38). The Greek word neos means brand new, whereas the word kainos refers to renewing or renovating that which exists. Jesus was not saying that the old wineskins were terrible; they only needed to be renewed to enable them to receive the brand new wine.

With that understanding from the Scriptures, it is easy to see what God is saying to us through the dreams of renovation. LAT as a wineskin is simply being renewed in order to accommodate the brand new wine of the Spirit. When the renewal is complete, great and mighty things that we have not yet experienced as LAT (Jeremiah 33:3) will begin to happen. It is my opinion that that outpouring of the Spirit upon us will, figuratively speaking, give perfect sight to the blind 85 year old lady, giving her the ability to see the entirety of people’s lives; the gift of the pair of glasses will function perfectly.

Apart from the gift of sight, more awesome things will definitely happen as blessings to God’s children and for His glory. Until then, let us all thank God for counting us worthy recipients of His new Wine. Let us also pray that the renovation process will run as scheduled by God, and that it will go on to completion. Last but not least, let us be expectant of the good things to come.

God bless you.
