When we sang 'In Moments Like These' on Sunday, I was especially touched by the line 'I love you Lord'. While singing that line from the depth of my heart, I sensed the Spirit saying, "You love Me by obeying My commands." I responded by saying, "Yes, Lord. I will build Your house."

One of the assignments God has given me is to build Him a house of great magnificence, fame and splendor in the sight of all the nations (1 Chronicles 22:5). Therefore, my love for God is expressed in, among other ways, building Him a dwelling place, which is His people (Ephesians 2:22).

Jesus said, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word" (John 14:23). That means we cannot say we truly love the Lord if we don't do what He tells us to do. In John chapter 21, Jesus asked Peter three times whether he loved Him. As Peter, three times responded with "I love you Lord," Jesus told him to, "Feed My lambs", "Tend My sheep", and "Feed My sheep." It is obvious then that our love for God is demonstrated in doing His will.

What is it that the Lord has called you to do? Are you in the process of doing it? Or are you afraid of the negative responses of the people around you? Paul said, ". . .if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ" (Galatians 1:10). Ignore people; go ahead and fulfill the will of God for your life. By that faithfulness, God will know that you truly love Him.

God is a rewarder; He will reward your faithfulness not only in this lifetime, but also in that which is to come. One of the ways He might reward you in this lifetime is by giving you more work! Do you remember the parable of the talents that Jesus taught His disciples? The person who was faithful was rewarded with the talents of the unfaithful.

Rick Joyner says that the work he is doing right now was meant to be done by five people. When the other people disobeyed, God found a man, Rick Joyner, who was accomplishing his work faithfully, and gave him more to do. In two dreams, one last week and the other last year, God showed me two Ugandan men whose assignments or callings He had given away. Whatever this duo did against the Lord is a mystery known only to Him and His confidants. However, it all boils down to unfaithfulness.

May you go down in history as a person who loved God by obeying His commands. You will be rewarded in both this life and the one to come. "Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown" (Revelation 3:11b).

God bless you.
