Often in life we have important questions to which neither we nor others have satisfactory answers. In such circumstances, we must remember that God is a Teacher, ready to address our concerns. If we are sincere in our quest, He will instruct and teach us in the way we should go (Psalms 32:8). I will give examples from my own life of how God answered questions to which I had relentlessly sought Him for answers.

Among the few subjects I am especially called to preach is the Judgment Day of believers which is closely associated with the rapture and the Second Coming of The Lord. From the time I got born again, I have been a proponent of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture doctrine which states that Christians will be whisked away from the earth to heaven before the seven-year reign of the anti-Christ, who will be responsible for the great tribulation. This is the position held by many of my favorite preachers. However, about two years ago, I discovered that two other preachers that are very dear to me, Andrew Wommack and Rick Joyner, held a different opinion. They believe the Post-Tribulation Rapture doctrine which states that Christians will not escape the great tribulation. Quite honestly, I was very disappointed with Wommack and Joyner for holding an opinion that I thought to be wrong particularly as it seemed so clearly explained in the Bible. I secretly despised them on this issue. However, the more I thought about their arguments for post-tribulation rapture, the more I became unsure of my pre-tribulation stance. Other people, by the way, believe in neither the pre-tribulation nor the post-tribulation rapture, but mid-tribulation rapture. According to them, the rapture will happen in the middle of the last seven years before Jesus returns.

So, let me ask you, “Who is right - the pre-tribulationists, the mid-tribulationists or the post-tribulationists?” All these groups sound right. However, since I am called to prepare the church for the Lord’s Second Coming, I could not settle with just being an echo of some other preacher’s view, especially in the event that they were wrong. I therefore took this matter to the great Teacher. I told Him, “Because you assigned me to tell people about Your Second Coming, the Judgment Day and the rapture, I need to know when for sure the rapture will happen. I’ve always thought You would take us out of here before the great tribulation, but Andrew Wommack and Rick Joyner, two profound teachers, believe otherwise. I do not want to be found teaching something wrong on so important a matter. Please tell me Your truth? I want to be on Your side.”

About two weeks ago, while studying this subject again and tending to a switch of opinions towards post-tribulation rapture, it occurred to me that God had answered my question months ago. Talk about being dull of hearing! This is how the answer came. One day, my friend Joseph Mpora told me a short dream he had received the previous night. In the dream, he told me, “Man, all along, the post-tribulation chaps were right.” God taught me (Isaiah 54:13); I praise Him for that.

There are issues for which God wouldn’t like you to settle for ignorance. If you inquire of Him, He will teach you. And before you stone those who hold contrary opinions, consider first taking the matters to God. He is the Custodian of truth.

Christians argue whether they should tithe or not. At one time I was convinced that we are supposed to tithe. Later, I switched and misled some people. Then after some time, I reverted to tithing. It was during that time, in 2013, that the Lord gave me a dream with the message: “You have done very well in the area of tithing, a practice that is extremely difficult for many of My children.”

Christians disagree among themselves over which political candidates to support when elections come up. I thank God that for the two previous presidential elections where He ‘taught’ me in dreams of the night – Museveni was His choice, and I voted for him each time.

I am not saying that God will answer your questions only through dreams; all I am saying is that He will teach you. How? In any way He chooses. However, understand that He will only teach the teachable - those who sincerely want to be taught.

I pray that you will earnestly desire to be taught by the Lord.

God bless you.
