In this season, I am in awe of how dreams from God complement His written Word. I am appreciating more and more the need for Christians to take seriously the dreams they receive and the Word of God, which will help them not only to discern the source of the dreams, but also to get the right interpretations. Dreams are going to be very important in these last days; that is why it is written, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh (the body of Christ); . . . Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17).
Let me tell you why I am in awe of how Godly dreams complement His Word. On 27th May 2018, Dr. Dennis Mugimba, a man I attest to be greatly prophetically gifted, had an amazing dream. A friend told him that we need to prepare for tough times because there is a dark war that is going to break out around the 20XY’s. In the dream, Dennis knew that this war had to do with the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21) and that Christians will have to go through it. Since I had recently told Dennis that my opinion had changed from the pre-tribulation to the post-tribulation doctrine, I believe that his dream was confirmation that it is true – Christians will be on earth during the Great Tribulation.
The Word says that after that tribulation, an angel will sound the seventh and last trumpet (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Revelation 11:15), at which point we shall be raptured (gathered to the Lord) to escape the wrath of God (Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1; Revelation 15:1). However, before that seventh and last trumpet is blown, it will obviously be preceded by the sound of the sixth trumpet. The Bible says, “Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them” (Revelation 9:13-16). This Euphrates War, which many refer to as World War III, is what Dennis was told about in the dream. It is the war of the sixth trumpet of the Great Tribulation that Christians will go through before they are raptured at the seventh trumpet.
I hope you now realize how a dream complemented the written Word of God concerning the end times. Also, note how knowledge of the written Word was so important to distinguish whether the dream was from God. By the way, prior to that, while I was petitioning God to reveal to me which of the three rapture doctrines (pre-, mid- and post-tribulation) was of God, Joseph Mpora had a dream in April 2018 in which he was telling me that the post-tribulation rapture proponents are right! When I went back to the Written Word, it became obvious to me that even Jesus preached post-tribulation rapture when He said, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days . . . the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven . . . they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds . . . And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect” (Matthew 24:29-31). That is why Paul preached post-tribulation rapture; he could not contradict his Master. John’s visions also had to be in harmony with the Lord Jesus’ teaching. In our day, through the dreams we are receiving, God is saying the same thing: we are going to go through the Great Tribulation, after which we shall be gathered to Him at the rapture.
Therefore, whether your dreams are about the last days or not, take them very seriously. At the same time, give the uttermost importance to the Word of God. It is the Word which will sharpen your inner-witness so that you are able to discern whether or not your dreams are from God, and it is also the Word which will help you to correctly interpret those dreams.
Lastly, the period for the dark war in Dennis’ dream (20XY’s) was revealed to me too in 2014 and it agrees with the Bible. All I can tell you is that Jesus is coming back in our generation. This makes me happy.
