Isaiah 60:21a is the greatest desire I have for the congregation over which God has made me an overseer (shepherd). The verse says: “Also your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever.”
I must quickly say that this Isaiah 60:21a prophecy is speaking primarily to Israel during the millennial reign of Christ on earth. For in a few years from today, the Anti-Christ and his armies are going to attack Israel and kill many Jews. A few Jews will survive death while still in the Holy Land, and others will flee into exile for safety although even there many will suffer persecution. This will be during the Great Tribulation. At the end of that time which the Bible also refers to as Jacob’s Trouble (Jeremiah 30:7), the Lord our God in the person Jesus Christ will return from heaven to earth, and will victoriously fight for Israel. He will then gather all the Jewish exiles from the lands of their captivity and bring them back to the Promised Land – Israel. These Jews, although right now a greater majority do not believe in Jesus as their Saviour, will at that time repent and will be counted righteous (saved). That is why it is written: “All Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26). Hence Jeremiah 31:1-2: “At the same time,” says the LORD, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be My people.” Thus says the LORD: “The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness— Israel, when I went to give him rest.”
Now, although Isaiah 60:21a is primarily a prophecy for Israel that all its remnant will be saved and will inherit the Promised Land at the Lord’s coming, as a Pastor I can also make it into a prayer to God for my congregation. I can pray – and that is what I am doing – that just as all Israel will be saved and counted righteous and inherit their land when the Lord returns, so should all my church members be righteous by walking in righteousness, so that they all may inherit forever the kingdom of God that is coming to earth, instead of suffering eternal damnation.”

You see, “as I have often told you before and now tell you again . . . many Christians live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their destiny is destruction,” (Philippians 3:18-19 NIV). In these last days, the Devil has unleashed a terrible but appealing deception that all Christians, no matter whether or not they live in holiness, will by all means inherit God’s kingdom and live with Him for all eternity. However, even a cursory perusing through the Scriptures reveals the total opposite of this doctrine of demons. The Bible teaches that Christians who are not pursuing holiness will end up in hell.
Therefore, since I know that eternal life is not a given for all Christians, I pray for you Last Adam Tabernacle to whom God has called me a shepherd. I pray to God for you according to Isaiah 60:21a that all of you will be righteous by walking in righteousness, so that you all may inherit forever the kingdom of God.” Amen.
God bless you.
NB: After I preached on Sunday about hell and the love of money, Christine Mugimba shared with me a dream she had had days earlier. In the dream, I was encouraged not to stop talking about unrighteous Christians ending up in hell even if I might be the only person talking about it. In the same dream, the sin of the love of money was also addressed.
Therefore, if you missed the service last Sunday, please create time and listen to the sermon “Bearing Fruit To Lay Hold of Eternal Life”. Considering Christine’s dream, the sermon was definitely a timely message from God.
