“Well done, thou good and FAITHFUL servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things,” Matthew 25:21. I live to hear those words from my wonderful Savior and Master, Jesus Christ. He is coming back soon, and I endeavor that He finds me doing His will and fulfilling my calling. If He does not come back during my lifetime, still, I will be faithful unto Him, for I love Him. This is not in any way to say that my obedience to God has been perfected, for I falter many times. However, by His grace, I am trying. Kathryn Kuhlman used to say that the first thing she would tell Jesus on meeting Him in heaven would be: “We tried.” This is my desire too, when I go to heaven, to tell Him, “Wonderful Jesus, I tried.”

For years, I have been intrigued with Proverbs 20:6 as written in the New International Version of the Bible which says, “Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?” When that verse first caught my attention many years ago, I realized that faithfulness is the characteristic of those that love. I then decided not to be numbered with those who offer lip service unto God, but to be counted among the true lovers of God, who demonstrate it with their obedience and faithfulness even when there is a lot at stake.

As a Pastor, my desire is to raise a company of people who truly love God. I do not want my flock to simply talk about how they love Him, but to exhibit it by their faithfulness and ability to walk the talk even when difficulties arise because of their commitment to Abba, our Father. Last Adam Tabernacle should be spoken of as a flock that has unfailing love for God and it is evident by their faithfulness. In fact, urging my church to become seriously committed to God is earning me rewards in heaven. I vowed not to play games with any church member after I once read about a pastor who regretfully received just an apartment in heaven simply because he failed to “grow up” his church. That man of God, upon his death and going to heaven, should have received a huge mansion had his congregation grown up in the things of God. But he did not, because He was not faithful in the proper raising and disciplining of God’s children. Woe unto preachers whose sheep remain babies (see Matthew 24:19)!

Every one of you reading this should be ready to one day stand before your Master and boldly say, “Therefore, O King Jesus, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,” Acts 26:19. In the Bible, God said of Moses, “My servant Moses . . . is faithful in all Mine house,” Numbers 12:7. Moses’ faithfulness to God was such a big deal that the Holy Spirit inspired that it be written twice in the book of Hebrews. In Hebrews 3:2 it says, “. . . Moses was faithful in all His house.” And it is again said in verse 5 that, “And Moses verily was faithful.” Let then the desire of our hearts and the yearning of our souls be for God to record of us, as He did concerning Moses – that we were faithful.

In September 1950, Kenneth E. Hagin was caught up in a vision in which Jesus showed him several things. What he was told in that experience, is being said unto you now: “Go thy way, My son; fulfill the ministry and be faithful for the time is short.”

God bless you.
