We have been waiting for 2025. Now that it is here, we thank God for it.
The dream by which God spoke to us about 2025 came in 2018. But it was later in 2019 that we knew for sure, according to 1 Kings 6:37-38, that 2025 would be the year that our church would become what God has in mind for it. Since then, God has repeatedly encouraged us concerning 2025 by saying that we are on track to hit that target.
Interestingly, as it often is with many of God’s promises, there hasn’t been any natural sign that God’s promise to us will come to pass. It has just been ‘spiritual’ encouragement and confirmations. The last such encouragement came to us about five weeks ago on 12th December 2024 by a dream Olive Namutebi had. Olive, like most us, had been praying and asking God why we weren’t seeing anything in the natural that indicated that ‘2025’ is guaranteed. Then she had this dream from God:
We were at an airport departure lounge waiting to board and fly to a certain destination. The boarding time was approaching, but there was no sign that we were going to board and depart on time. Despite all this, we weren’t anxious. When we (Pastor Moses and I) walked out of the lounge to look at where the plane we were to board was parked, we saw that it was being fueled. So we told the church members we were with that, “Uh! It is almost time to take off because the ‘delay’ was due to the plane being fueled.”
