God is calling every one of us to seek, thirst, and long after Him (Psalm 63:1). If we do that, we shall encounter the temporal and eternal benefits of experiencing the Presence of God which are of a class ‘outside this world’. That is why we need the Presence of God. Let us therefore draw near to God and He will draw near to us (James 4:8).

Some of the ways of how we draw near to God is by conversing with Him, and praising and worshipping Him. The latter is what I feel the Lord wants me to emphasize today.

There is a very clear relationship between praising and worshipping God and His manifest presence. For example, we see in Revelation that the four living creatures that dwell in the presence of God “do not rest day or night, saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!’’ (Revelation 4:8). The Bible further teaches us that you get filled with the Holy Spirit – call Him God’s presence – by “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:18-19).

Therefore, knowing the immeasurable benefits of God’s Presence in our lives, let us go ahead and praise and worship Him whenever the opportunity avails itself.

God bless you.
