A few days ago, on Sunday 6th November, I was hosted on NTV to talk about biblical financial prosperity. While in the studio, before, during and after the show, I got the overwhelming feeling that many people need to hear the authentic prosperity message. My being on television could therefore be the dawn of a new day for the nation, heralding the going forth of the unadulterated prosperity preaching.
People need to understand that prosperity is a love issue. It originates from our loving Father who gives us richly all things to enjoy, (1 Timothy 6:17). Unfortunately, it is precisely at this point that things went wrong – love was taken out of the equation. Because prosperity starts with Love (God is love), it was supposed to be preached in love by those who loved God and loved the people they were talking to. However, the contrary happened; the opponents of financial prosperity became lovers of money, and their financial needs became the reason for the message. With that attitude, the children of God were coerced and manipulated into “giving to prosper.” That means that they too, those who gave, did not do it out of love, but out of compulsion and intimidation. The result was two-fold: the givers did not receive returns, and the selfish preachers, temporarily got their carnal desires satisfied; but one day they will “all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body,” (2 Corinthians 5:10).
It is true that giving breaks the back of poverty; however that giving must be inspired by love – nothing else. When Paul the apostle wrote to the church at Corinth about giving to the needy saints in Jerusalem, he told them, “I am testing the sincerity of your love,” 2 Corinthians 8:8, and, he emphasized, “Show to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love,” 2 Corinthians 8:24. Love, then, must be reintroduced in the prosperity gospel, it should actually be the emphasis, or else, giving will be in vain. The Scripture is clear: And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing, 1 Corinthians 13:3.
There is a dream I have told many times, and I will tell it again here. In very clear terms, it shows how financial prosperity goes hand in hand with love. In fact, just as the dream communicated, I am primarily called to preach these two, love and prosperity. Here is the dream:
In the year 2006, I dreamt I was at a party seated with Joyce Meyer and Creflo Dollar. I told Joyce Meyer, “I rather listen to you when you are talking about love, but if it comes to prosperity, I rather listen to Creflo Dollar.” Joyce Meyer then responded, “Young man, never separate those two things.” It is at this point that I addressed both of them saying, “Joyce Meyer, you preach about love; and Creflo Dollar you preach about prosperity. But as for me, I will preach both. Then I woke up.
Again, just as you have read, I am called by God to preach LOVE and PROSPERITY. Last year, God also anointed me the Financial Prosperity President of the country. Being hosted on NTV last Sunday could have been a sign that the time has come for my message of Love and Prosperity to spread nationwide. Join me in that cause, by preaching love and prosperity. Like Paul the apostle, encourage people to give as an expression of their love for God and His people. Be part of bringing integrity back concerning the truth of giving and receiving. And as people joyfully obey this law of giving and receiving, they will never see financial depression in their lives. Hallelujah!
Let me take this opportunity to thank Denise Uwamwezi who believed that her Pastor had something sensible to say on television. Weeks ago, when she met the host of the show on which I appeared as a guest, she told that person about me. The rest is now history.
Lastly, all of you should know this: Jean N. Kajumba prefers my prosperity gospel to Dr. Richard Mwesigwa’s dating-marriage-sex talk. As Richard preached away his heart, Jean was somewhere else watching me on television and recording the show. Only when the prosperity preacher was done, did she run to listen to Richard. As Kenneth E. Hagin used to say, “Bless her darling heart.” Richard knows the context Hagin used that remark. Ha ha ha!
Please remember that our book Financial Prosperity, Breaking The Back Of Poverty will be launched on the 18th of December 2016. Because of your generous contribution, we are bringing in 1000 copies – yours is one of them. Therefore, get your tickets and be part of that event.
God bless you.
