It is important to reiterate that for us Christians, God is more than God – He is our Father. This is the highest revelation that there is of God. It is for this reason that we must pray continuously for that revelation to become real to us in ever increasing measure.
When we get to know God as Father, we shall get to know the immeasurable love that He has for us. This love was expressed when God gave His only begotten Son Jesus to die for our sins (John 3:16). Remember that this happened while we were still sinners, enemies of God in our rebellion. Yet, God still reconciled us to Himself in the death of His dearly beloved Son. All the punishment that was due us because of our sins, God put it on Jesus that we might go free. Surely there is no greater love than this!
And now, “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32). Surely He will provide for us, as any loving Father would do for His children. That is why we needn’t worry about what we shall eat, or drink, or wear, or any other thing. We shall cast all our cares upon our Father, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
The All-powerful God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, Master of the Universe, is our Father, and He loves us so much. This must sink in our hearts.
God bless you.
