The Bible says that, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16). For that reason, we dedicated the last two Sundays to learning how to pray effectively. Seven foundational principles of effective prayer were taught (Foundational Principles of Effective Prayer, Part 2 (30th Jul 2023) (lat.church)), which if practiced will yield more answers to our prayers. The purpose of this article is to put emphasis – because God is calling for that emphasis – on just two of those principles: Forgiveness of sins, and doing a specific condition God requires of us for a certain prayer to be answered.

Although we have been taught that the phrase “Jehovah Jireh” from Genesis 22:14 means “God provides,” we must also know that it actually literally means “God/Jehovah sees” in the Hebrew language. God has been LAT’s Jehovah Jireh. He always sees to it that all our church’s financial needs are taken care of. For that, (and many other things), we need to thank Him.
