In order for us to run the race set before us and finish well, strength in the inner man is crucial. Often times,the journey towards fulfilling our callings/destinies gets tough causing well meaning Christians to get depressed, confused, exhausted and eventually give up.

Ephesians 3:16 That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man

Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus to be strengthened with power through the Holy Spirit. We should also pray the same for ourselves.
