We all have periods when we must wait on the Lord to fulfil His promises. The parable of the wise and foolish virgins offers valuable lessons on how we ought to wait on the Lord. Those who were found alert were described as wise, while the unprepared were described as foolish (Matthew 25:1-13). The Lord requires us to be alert and expectant while we wait.
