We the Church, the bride of Jesus Christ, will one day be translated to heaven to consummate our marriage, and to escape the great tribulation that will come upon the earth. Then after seven years, we shall return to reign with Jesus for a thousand years. That millennial period will commence with the judgment of all nations based on how they would have treated Israel during the tribulation. The “sheep” nations that will have been a blessing to Israel will inherit the kingdom of God (Matthew 25:32,34). The “goat” nations, those who will have persecuted the Jews will be sent into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:32,41).
You may ask, “What does this have to do with me?” Two things. Number one, pray that your nation treats Israel well, because whatever is done to the Jews will by all means be reaped one day. Number two, you as an individual should be deliberate in doing good to the Jews, the natural ones and the spiritual ones. The Bible teaches that there are natural Jews and spiritual Jews. Christians are the spiritual Jews because they are the spiritual seed of Abraham who is the father of Jews.
If nations are going to be rewarded for having treated natural Israel well, it must also mean that there is a blessing awaiting all those who will have been a blessing to spiritual Israel, the Christians. The most interesting thing about all this is that whatever good is done to Israel, heaven considers it done to Jesus.
One day, Jesus will say to many, “I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, “Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?” (Matthew 25:35-39). And Jesus will answer and say to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me” (Matthew 25:40).
Whatever good we do to the Jews, both the spiritual and natural ones, we are doing it to Jesus. For doing so, a reward is promised. For that matter, “let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as far as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, ESPECIALLY to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:9,10). The household of faith being referred to are those people who have put their trust in Jesus for salvation, the Christians, those who are Jews inwardly (Romans 2:29). To such, do good; for in doing so you are blessing Jesus, and He will one day reward you beyond your wildest dreams.
God bless you.
