As the year comes to an end, I would like to thank every one of you for making LAT a huge success. As I have often said, it is a miracle that LAT still exists. But the even greater miracle is its vibrant health. In partnership with you, God has not only kept LAT on the map, but kept it in peace, and in spiritual and financial health. You have been a part of this success, and deserve a ‘thank you’ not only from the Chief Shepherd, but also from me His under shepherd.
When Adam and Eve fell, their spiritual discernment, and that of their descendants, went on a downward spiral. For that reason, one must always take with caution the applause of humans, unless of course, there is good evidence that they are in tune with God. All of you know that when I say LAT is a huge success, I am simply echoing God. In 2017, we have received many heavenly dreams in which God commended our spiritual work. It is essentially for that reason, that God has deposited several mantles in LAT, in addition to several promises of better things to come.
Financially, LAT is in a good position. We have never received an offering of a billion dollars, but we are ending the year never having begged for a dime. We met all our financial obligations without putting pressure on you, the congregants. You know a church is struggling financially (or the leadership is greedy) when so much time is spent coercing people to give. That has not happened at LAT because you have been the cheerful givers that God loves. We might not be handling big budgets, but we are the true definition of financial prosperity, as we have effortlessly paid all our bills on time. To God be the glory.
We are not only doing well spiritually and financially, but we also have peace and unity in our church. It is in unity and peace that God commands a blessing. The presence of God is manifested and felt in a ‘body’ that is not fragmented. But where there is division and strife, you find all evil. You are my witnesses, that every time we gather, we experience the presence of God, in varying degrees. This is so because of the peace and unity that we have upheld.
For all these good things, I thank God for every one of you. There is no way LAT would be a vibrant spiritual entity if it was not for members committed to the integrity of the Word, prayer and worship. LAT would not be able to comfortably meet its financial obligations if it was not for your generous giving. And, we would not have peace and unity if we were predominantly carnal. You have made LAT a place where God feels welcome and comfortable – a place He can call His house.
My prayer is that we remain on track; ever pleasing to the Father. Though this sounds like a tall order, it is actually so simple if we purpose to continue doing what has made us successful. Our devotion must be to God alone – not fallible Pastor Moses. We must stay committed to God’s Word, as the constitution for our lives. Prayer, praise and worship should always be central in LAT. We must pursue peace and unity. We must always be ready and willing to support the work of God at LAT with our finances. And since everything rises and falls on leadership, pray for me always. Without your prayers, I can fall.
Thank you for all you have done and given to LAT. May the God who began LAT, and highly esteems it bless you abundantly.
