Last week, I shared with my church a dream I had on 23 May 2018. In that dream, Elvis Mbonye, who was a doctor, used a real hammer – one used by carpenters – instead of the simple patella hammer to examine a one Bishop Bamugemereire. The Bishop was in excruciating pain as Elvis viciously pounded his toe. Since the dream was not literal, but rather symbolic, this was its interpretation:

"We all know Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemereire; God is using her to boldly expose the evil regarding land matters in Uganda. We also know that a Bishop is a leading authority in the church. In the dream, Bishop Bamugemereire is symbolic of spiritual leaders who are exposing Elvis Mbonye’s works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11). The dream shows the kind of treatment ‘Dr. Mbonye’ is giving them – vicious hammering that will result in their immobilization.”

Immediately after the service on Sunday 27th May, a gentleman walked up to me and told me what he found amazing about my dream. He said that a month or so ago, he was listening to a sermon by Elvis in which Elvis said, “There is a fellow that was recently hammered . . . there is another one just about to be hammered.” This gentleman said that some followers of Elvis actually started using that terminology on social media against those who were not toeing their line. He showed me an example from Facebook of a certain lady who, on 7 March 2018, proudly quoted Elvis Mbonye saying, “There is a fellow that was recently hammered . . . there is another one just about to be hammered.” For those who were following national events at the time, the ‘hammering’ was in reference to Rev Fr Simon Lokodo who collapsed on 28 February 2018 just before opening an anti-corruption workshop.

I now remember a conversation Elvis, a few other men, and myself had during the launch of Joseph Kabuleta’s wedding preparation meetings around June 2017. During that time, Rev Fr Lokodo, Reverend Canon Aaron Mwesigye, and other people were working to introduce policies to regulate the activities of born-again churches and fellowships, a move that many ‘balokole’, including me and Elvis vehemently opposed. As we conversed, Elvis told us, “Very soon they (Lokodo and group) are going to listen to another language.” We asked him what language that was; but he did not give us an answer. In hindsight, ‘hammering’ was that language.

What was even more amazing about my dream is that I did not know that Elvis and his group were using the term ‘hammered’ or ‘hammering’. God, being a Master of symbolism, knew that I would know about a patella hammer given my medical background and therefore used it to expose the kind of treatment ‘Doctor’ Elvis Mbonye is giving church leaders who do not agree with him.

In July 2017, I started getting dreams that Elvis – my one-time best friend, a man I was best man to, a man I and my church always gave our tithes to – had departed from the Lord and was operating from the demonic realm. I was not the only one having these dreams; countless others who dearly loved Elvis also started getting these revelations from the Lord. Furthermore, these dreams were not limited to people in my church; many more people from different congregations received them, and they continue to. I am telling you this with all the boldness I can muster in the Lord: The man I was best man to, the man who we were until 2015 best friends and confidants, is no longer serving Jesus Christ. On the contrary, in his own words, and according to my Godly dream, he is hammering the ‘Bamugemereires’ – those exposing the sorry truth about him.

My one-time best friend Elvis departed from God. That almost brings me to tears. I ‘weep’ for those who think I am envious of him. Many of them know him from afar – I was closer to him than many people have ever been. Once in 2010, as we prepared to go for his kwanjula (customary marriage ceremony), he advised me to use his bed for the night while he stayed awake praying. Together with him, we started Zoe Fellowship. That is how close we were. I wedded Kabuleta and his bride less than a year ago. How then could I enviously turn against these two with whom we had the Group of Three?! What would be the benefit? On the contrary, I knew I would lose much – and I did. 99% of my church members were ardent followers of Elvis. The majority have since left. Why? Because I touched God’s ‘anointed’.

By the way, I really hate to talk or write this truth of who Elvis is now. I hate it. However, I must do it; because God needs people who will do it for the sake of His children who Elvis is messing up. I wish this was the last time God instructed me to warn people about Elvis. But I know He will tell me to ‘do it again’. Only disobedience will get me to shut up.

Pray for me, and for all who are speaking out against Elvis lest we get hammered. And, do not be afraid to tell people to run away from him. They might reject you, but you will have brought a smile to God’s face.

God bless you.
