Last week, we saw how God cared for my wife and me by supernaturally leading us to the area and exact plot of land to build our house. Although I am not a typical dreamer, it is especially through dreams that I have experienced God's care. Juliana, our worship team leader often tells me, "Pastor you needn't worry if you do not dream; you have many people who dream for you." However, I thank God that I had my own dream on Wednesday, after twenty one dreamless nights. This dream, which was a message to a certain family, really shows how God affectionately cares about us.
In the dream, the children of this family currently on a Christian international education curriculum were assessed against the Uganda education curriculum and found to be among the best of the best in Primary Leaving Examinations. Then, still in the dream, one of the parents wanted the children to go to Gayaza High School. However I advised that they go to King's College Budo. Then I awoke.
When I shared the dream with their father, he sent me this response: We have been enquiring of the LORD as to what next for our eldest child who is in the transition stage out of Primary into Secondary level on the family altar last week, we asked God for clarity as to which education system the child should continue with and if there was to be a change, which school to go to. Some years back, I was interested in her going to Gayaza but I did not pursue it. When the matter was brought up for prayer, our second child asked, “What about me?"
As you might have already seen from the dream, God gave me a dream that expressed His perfect will for the children of this family. Both children, including the second who also expressed interest but was not the immediate concern, to switch to the Uganda educational curriculum from the Christian international curriculum and to go to Budo.
Again, this is evidence that there is nothing that God is not interested in as far as His people are concerned. However, very often, He will play gentleman, not interfering in our lives uninvited. We must be thoroughly convinced that He cares, and then call upon Him. When we do so, He will answer us and show us great and mighty things. He says, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye" (Psalm 32:8).
The other thing we must always remember is that God cares so much about us that He is always watching and recording every good thing that we do for the purpose of rewarding us. This is better expressed by a dream which Dennis and Christine Mugimba's seven year old daughter had last week while asleep in the car. This is the dream: "A young boy with a crown and wings appeared to me. He said to me, ‘Your family is being rewarded for hosting Marriage Fellowship, self-control, the fruit of the spirit, and for reaching church early sometimes.' When I asked him whether he was an angel, he flew up and became bigger. I then realized that he was angel Gabriel because he had introduced himself to me in a previous dream." Yes. God cares; He is constantly watching over us, even taking record of our good works so that He can later reward us.
Now that you know that God cares, you should be found "Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you AFFECTIONATELY and cares about you WATCHFULLY". 1 Peter 5:7 AMPC
God bless you.
