One way that we receive prophecies from God is through the dreams which He gives us. This then means that dreams can be regarded as prophecy. Now, anyone who has experience with dreams from God knows that therein, God seldom reveals His entire mind concerning whatever He is addressing. Hence, even Bruce Mayani’s 21st June 2023 dream where he was warning Kampalans about a coming flood, was a prophecy in “part”. For indeed “we know in part and prophesy in part” (1 Corinthians 13:9).

Now, following the recent terror alerts from the United Kingdom and our government’s security institutions, I have wondered whether the flood Bruce dreamt about – before those terror alerts – is actually the terrorism ADF is planning to carry out in Kampala. Since we know in part and prophesy in part, we should be wise and take necessary precautions against anything (in this case an ADF terror attack), that might turn out to be the “flood”. Therefore, let us take the terror alerts very seriously.

The other thing about prophecy is that many prophecies are conditional; prophecies may or may not come to pass if certain things are done or not done. This being the case, it is probable that the “flood” can be averted by serious intercession. Therefore, as we take precaution against anything that might be the “flood”, let us also pray that God has mercy on our country and stops the “flood” from coming. We shouldn’t just sit and wait from the destruction to come, yet prayer could prevent it.

Lastly, as we take the necessary precautions and also intercede, let us not forget to abide in the presence of God, for that is the sure high ground of safety from the flood – if prayer does not avert it. As it is written in Psalm 91:

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust. Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you . . . Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. . . . Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name . . .”

God bless you.
