We should all be aware that Jesus is returning soon, and must therefore wait earnestly for Him, keeping ourselves pure from sin just as a bride waits for the groom. This however does not mean that we become foolish by completely resigning from all things under heaven.
When after the Fall God told the serpent that his seed would be crushed by the woman’s Seed (Genesis 3:15), mankind began looking forward to the Savior. It seems like every woman hoped to be the carrier of that precious Seed. Indeed, the waited for Savior was the desire of women (Daniel 11:37).
