A certain saint was once taken to heaven for a tour. Among the people he met and talked with was a young man who had died because he asked for it! The story goes that while on earth, this young man was supposed to step into his father’s shoes as a pastor. The denomination they belonged to, and his father, were so opposed to the teachings concerning the infilling and operations of the Holy Spirit. The “heir to the throne” was therefore going to start off from where his dad had stopped – fighting the truth of God.

“Well done, thou good and FAITHFUL servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things,” Matthew 25:21. I live to hear those words from my wonderful Savior and Master, Jesus Christ. He is coming back soon, and I endeavor that He finds me doing His will and fulfilling my calling. If He does not come back during my lifetime, still, I will be faithful unto Him, for I love Him. This is not in any way to say that my obedience to God has been perfected, for I falter many times. However, by His grace, I am trying. Kathryn Kuhlman used to say that the first thing she would tell Jesus on meeting Him in heaven would be: “We tried.” This is my desire too, when I go to heaven, to tell Him, “Wonderful Jesus, I tried.”
