On Monday the 5th of February, Joan Isoke dreamt that she was attending a fellowship. A lady preacher introduced her sermon: Discerning the Lord’s Body. Though Joan did not attend the service on Sunday, she knew this was exactly what had been preached. The preacher asked what people thought discerning the Lord’s body meant. Excitedly, Joan stood up and said, “Surely, LAT members already know this.” A woman then walked up to her and gave her money in appreciation of the fact that LAT accurately hears from the Lord.

If you missed the service last Sunday, please listen to the sermon “Uganda and The Nations”, especially since you now know it was indeed a message from God. In fact, it will do you doubly well if you also listen to the Bible Study teaching “Discerning the Lord’s Body”, where the topic was discussed in greater depth. You will be encouraged to not only discover your gift but to also put it at work for the benefit of the rest of the body of Christ. Doing so brings blessings; failure to do so has repercussions.

Now, on Sunday, I also labored to show that just like individuals, nations too have callings to fulfill. Nations were not only established by God, they were also given callings by which they are to bless the rest of the world. When a nation walks in the will of God, blessings abound; but if it does not, God will use unpleasant circumstances to get it back on course, if that is still an option.

Most of you reading this are Ugandans. It is imperative that you seriously pray for Uganda to walk in her God-given assignment. We all stand to benefit if our country fulfills her destiny. However, if Uganda steers away from her responsibility to other nations, we shall have opened a door for unpleasant things to happen to us. The history of Israel as a nation is proof that this principle is biblical. And as you may already know, or as you will hear in my sermon, some of the issues the United States of America is facing today are exactly because of that.

While I admonished people on Sunday to seriously pray for Uganda, I wondered why, all of a sudden, God was leading us in that direction. Then on Tuesday morning, I had a troubling dream predicting terrible political events. I then understood that God calling us to pray for our country to fulfill her destiny is Him preempting evil.

We are co-laborers with Christ; so let us work with Him to avert calamity so we can enjoy the blessings of heaven.

Pray for yourself and for Uganda. As an individual, God wants you to fulfill your ministry. That also is His desire for the nation of Uganda.

God bless you.
