As written last week, God confirmed, and thereby emphasized the sermon "Success and Victory By Simple Obedience," which I preached that Sunday. He even went on to amazingly confirm and thereby emphasized Part 2 of that sermon, just as I was preaching it last Sunday.

In Part 1 of "Success and Victory By Simple Obedience," I told us that if we live by what God has spoken to us, doing everything according to what He shows us, then we shall succeed when we see that word from God fulfilled. In Part 2, I told you the Enemy will fight that word by trials so that we don't pursue it to see its fulfillment. I supported this with Jesus' parable of the sower in Luke 8, specifically verse 13. At the moment when Luke 8:13 was projected on the screen, and I was expounding it, Mrs. Joan Isoke walked in with the children she had been teaching. The shock on her face as she lifted her hands in amazement said it all.

When I finished preaching, Joan came to the pulpit to testify. It so happened that she had just taught the children from the same verse she found on the screen, which verse I was also teaching from! Written words can't express how blessed we were by Joan's testimony. For by it, God was confirming, and thereby strongly emphasized Luke 8:13. When temptations, or tribulations and persecution arise because of the word (Matthew 13:21) we received from God, we should not give up on that word. If we hold onto that word, in thick and in thin, doing what God told us to do despite all the hell Satan sends our way, we shall see that word fulfilled. That will be success in God's perspective, for which we shall be rewarded in this life and the one to come.

NB: Luke 8:13 says that, "But the ones (seeds) on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away."
