Many of us are going to do some fighting within the Promised Land in which we already are. When Israel entered into her Promised Land, she had to fight the inhabitants therein in order to possess what God had given her. So shall it be with us in this season. Thankfully we are not alone; Jesus, the Commander of the LORD’s armies, is with us to lead us into victory. Hallelujah!

The Bible says that, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal” (2 Corinthians 10:4) – they are spiritual, since we are fighting a spiritual fight. The key spiritual weapon that our Commander is emphasizing in this season, and that which we discussed last week, is “The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:17). We must fight by applying our mouths in speaking what God has said, instead of the apparent contradictions that face us. It is written that, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). Therefore, in order for us to eat and be satisfied with the fruit of our Promised Land, we must speak what God has said, instead of what we are seeing.

Now, by God putting emphasis on the weapon of the sword of the Spirit (the spoken word), doesn’t mean that we should neglect putting on the full armor of God. For it is written that, “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). This armor includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace, the helmet of salvation, and the shield of faith (Ephesians 6:14-17).

Years ago, I got to learn the great importance of us being dressed with the full armor of God in as far as receiving our answers from God is concerned. I once taught on this subject in church, and I will briefly do so again here. Apparently, when our angels are bringing to us answers, they come down from heaven dressed with the armor of God in the exact same way we ourselves are dressed. If we are not fully dressed with the armor, so is our angel. Now, when the demons detect that the angel is missing a certain piece of the armor of God, they attack and shoot the angel in the spot where the armor is missing. The angel puts up resistance, but very often gets overpowered. When this happens, the demons then take the package (answer) that the angel was carrying, and we therefore never see what God had sent us! For more on this subject, I encourage you to seriously listen to this message by Apostle John Mulinde: https://youtu.be/Q79Qui8tCvY

Let us put on the full armor of God as we wage warfare in our Promised Land.

God bless you.
